Book Review: The Torment of Rachel Ames

This book might be smaller than some others with it coming up at ~125 pages, but its a thrilling ride all the way from the beginning to the end. If you're a big Stephen King fan, like i am, Gunhus's style will feel right at home. Don't be worried though, Gunhus does a great job of differentiating himself enough to not feel like just another Stephen King novel.

There's a lot at play in the novel right from the beginning, you know something is up and each page gets you closer to finding the truth. The supernatural thriller stays close to it's roots. Doing a great job of portraying it's damaged main character, Rachel. The story is like hopping onto a roller coaster ride with a blindfold on. It keeps pulling you through and you never know which twist or turn is coming up next. You will not see the ending coming and it's a great one too.

The book is small enough to finish in one long sitting, and interesting enough to make that long sitting feel much faster.

If you're a fan of Stephen King, mysteries and thrillers, you will absolutely love this book. Even if you aren't, this is a great book to turn you into one.

- I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review
